A couple of these images were shot in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, a beautiful spot about twenty minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. The canyon features a variety of hikes through a mostly desert landscape. It provides a nice change of pace from the dark, smoky casinos of the Strip. The other image is from the Rhyolite ghost town just outside of Death Valley. The structures there are interesting, but there is so much else to see in Death Valley that I wouldn't go there unless...
